Civil Site Engineer & Planning - Assistant

Job Summary:

The Assistant Civil Site Engineer supports the execution of civil works at the construction site, ensuring work is carried out according to drawings, quality standards, and project timelines. This role assists the site incharge in supervising daily activities, managing resources, coordinating with teams, and maintaining accurate site records.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the supervision and execution of civil construction activities including excavation, concreting, masonry, plastering, finishing, etc.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with drawings, specifications, and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with contractors, labor teams, and vendors to ensure material availability and work progress.
• Conduct site measurements, material take-offs, and maintain basic records for billing or estimation.
• Prepare and maintain daily progress reports (DPRs), labor reports, and photo documentation.
• Report on-site issues or delays to the Site Incharge or Project Engineer in a timely manner.
• Assist in quality checks, such as cube testing, slump tests, and adherence to ITPs.
• Ensure proper material handling, storage, and usage practices on-site.
• Support in ensuring HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) compliance at the work site.
• Review and understand basic civil and structural drawings to support field execution.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
• Basic understanding of construction techniques, materials, and site safety.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction documents.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and familiarity with site documentation tools.
• MS Project.
• Good communication, teamwork, and reporting skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Exposure to residential or infrastructure projects.
• Willingness to work extended hours and on weekends if required.
• Knowledge of local building codes and construction practices.

Experience:
