Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Supplier Management:
Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for materials like cement, steel, and other construction-related items.
Negotiation:
Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favorable agreements and cost savings.
Collaboration:
Work closely with civil engineering and project management teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and timelines for materials and equipment.
Quality Assurance:
Monitor supplier performance to ensure the delivery of high-quality materials that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Logistics and Delivery:
Oversee the timely delivery of materials to project sites, ensuring they arrive in accordance with project milestones.
Record Keeping:
Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, purchase orders, contracts, and inventory levels for reporting and bookkeeping.
Technical Specification Analysis:
Analyze project drawings and material specifications to determine security requirements and ensure materials are appropriate for the civil project.
Cost Control:
Implement cost-saving strategies and conduct cost analyses to stay within budget.
