Civil Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning & Execution:
• Assist in planning and execution of new hospital construction, renovation, and expansion projects.
• Prepare BOQs, cost estimates, and work schedules.
• Liaise with architects, MEP consultants, contractors, and vendors.
• Site Supervision:
• Regularly visit project sites to ensure compliance with design, quality, and safety standards.
• Supervise site activities, contractor work, and material usage.
• Monitor project progress and report updates to management.
• Quality & Compliance:
• Ensure construction follows healthcare standards (e.g., infection control, fire safety, accessibility).
• Verify quality of civil materials and workmanship.
• Conduct site inspections and audits.
• Vendor Management:
• Evaluate and finalize civil contractors and vendors.
• Coordinate with suppliers for timely material delivery.
• Certify contractor bills and work completion reports.
• Facility Maintenance Support:
• Support the Facilities team in addressing civil repair and maintenance across operational hospitals.
• Ensure minimal disruption to clinical operations during civil works.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and building codes.
• Experience in hospital or healthcare infrastructure projects preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Project/Primavera, and MS Office.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects across different locations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering (required)
• 3–6 years of experience in civil engineering, preferably in healthcare or commercial construction
• Experience in hospital or clean-room environments is a plus

Work Environment:

• Willingness to travel to project sites across various cities/states.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, healthcare-sensitive environment.
