Role Overview

As the City Business Head, you are the CEO of your city owning end to end P&L, investment wallet growth, team & channel performance. This is a hands-on, field-first role focused on direct customer acquisition, partner development (IFAs/DSAs/MFDs/wealth advisors), team building, and process-driven execution.

What Great Looks Like (KPIs youll be measured on)

  • FD Volume () & #FDs booked; average ticket size; wallet deepening/renewals
  • Bond Volume () & #Bonds booked; average ticket size; wallet deepening/renewals
  • Mutual Fund Volume () & #MFs booked; average ticket size; wallet deepening/retention
  • Lead to Sale Conversion %, cycle time (TAT), cancellation/error rate
  • Active & productive partners, partner activation to productivity ramp
  • Team productivity per rep, activity/visit metrics, adherence to beats
  • CAC & city unit economics, marketing ROI, incentive efficiency
  • Customer NPS

Must-Have Qualifications

  • 5+ years in City/Branch-level Sales/BD in Banking/Insurance/Investments/Lending.
  • Local city experience & network (must have worked in the same city you’re applying for).
  • Proven direct sales to retail/affluent customers and channel sales via IFAs/DSAs/partners.
  • Managed a 5–10 member field team for 2 years with hard targets and reviews.
  • Strong command of sales process, CRM, funnel metrics, and on ground execution.
  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA preferred).
  • Fluency in English + local language.

  • High integrity, compliant by default; clear written & verbal communication.
  • Flexibility to run weekend drives/events when needed.

Operating Rhythm (Example)

  • Daily: stand-ups, beat execution, partner/customer meetings, CRM updates.
  • Weekly: pipeline reviews, partner performance, team coaching, field immersions.
  • Monthly/Quarterly: city plan reviews, P&L & ROI review, hiring/backfills, city campaigns.
