Citrix Administrator

Job Summary

As a Citrix Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Citrix infrastructure of the organization. You will provide advanced technical support, troubleshooting, and resolution for complex Citrix-related issues. Additionally, you will collaborate with other IT teams to ensure the optimal performance, security, and scalability of the Citrix environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer the Citrix CVAD infrastructure, including XenApp, Xen Desktop, and Citrix NetScaler or ADC environments.
• Perform advanced troubleshooting and issue resolution for Citrix-related incidents, problems, and outages.
• Implement and maintain Citrix policies, profiles, and configurations to ensure security and compliance requirements are met.
• Monitor Citrix performance and capacity, proactively identify potential issues, and implement optimizations to enhance system reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate Citrix solutions with other systems and applications, ensuring seamless operation and compatibility.
• Plan and execute Citrix upgrades, patches, and migrations in coordination with Change Management processes.
• Develop and maintain documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Knowledge Base articles for Citrix-related activities.
• Stay current with industrys best practices, emerging technologies, and Citrix updates to continuously improve the Citrix environment.
• Able to work within a schedule that overlaps 34 hours with the onshore (U.S.-based) team for coordination and handoffs.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 - 8 years of experience in Citrix administration, with a focus on CVAD, XenApp, Xen Desktop, and NetScaler or ADC.
• Citrix Certified Associate (CCA-V) or higher certification is required.
• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, like VMware vSphere, Nutanix etc.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell for automation and task scripting.
• Experience with Citrix monitoring and management tools, such as Citrix Director and Citrix ADC.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
