Chief Medical Officer

Role Overview: As a Medical Officer, your main responsibility is to take care of patients by conducting rounds, tracking investigation results, checking vitals, monitoring patient progress, and informing consultants when necessary. You will be examining patients upon admission, suggesting investigations and treatments in consultation with consultants, and reviewing treatment sheets to make necessary changes. Key Responsibilities: - Attend rounds with consultants and communicate any required changes to RMOs - Ensure appropriate pre and post-operative orders are carried out - Address patient problems and emergencies, keeping consultants informed in case of emergencies - Oversee the entry of patient details in the software, update discharge summaries promptly, and ensure the discharge summary is thoroughly checked and signed by the consultant - Provide training to newly joined Clinical Observers/RMOs - Create and implement clinical Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) - Report any untoward incidents related to patients to the relevant authorities Qualifications Required: - Medical Leadership skills - Clinical Decision Making abilities - Healthcare Administration knowledge - Strategic Planning capability - Team Management experience - Quality Improvement expertise - Patient Care Management skills - Familiarity with Medical Ethics In this role, you should also be prepared to handle emergency procedures and potentially shift patients to the ICU under consultant supervision.
