STAFF NURSE - ICU/WARD

As a healthcare professional in this role, you will be responsible for providing patient care to individuals in critical care settings such as VENTILATOR, ICU, and ward patients. Your duties will include conducting procedures and investigations while ensuring the inventory of equipment, crash carts, and instruments is accurate by cross-referencing with the inventory register and promptly reporting any discrepancies to the senior nurse or head nurse. During each shift, it will be your responsibility to review the communication book for new instructions and updates, as well as check the department's census. You will need to stay informed about new admissions, patient transfers, surgery and investigation schedules, and patient discharges. Adhering to the guidelines outlined in the handover and takeover protocol, you will be required to oversee the transition of patient care. Your role will also involve greeting and assessing patients in the ICU, documenting initial assessment findings in progress notes, coordinating patient surgeries and investigations, and monitoring vital signs according to routine or specific orders. Additionally, you will ensure that all patients receive the prescribed water and diet as per their dietary requirements. Furthermore, you will be expected to accompany Consultants during clinical rounds, execute their written orders diligently, and maintain a high standard of patient care throughout your shifts. Your dedication to detail, effective communication skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team will be essential in providing quality care to patients under your supervision.,
