As the Exploration Manager in DR Congo/Lagos, your role involves coordinating and leading the exploration team activities to meet business needs for various projects. Your responsibilities include: - Preparation of exploration budgets for different projects - Compilation and validation of exploration data for different sites - Database management, map preparation, QAQC, and geological section up-gradation - Ensuring safe, timely, and on-budget execution of exploration, prospecting, and drilling programs - Managing the company's exploration and sample management systems - Facilitating inter-departmental coordination for clear communication - Resource and reserve estimations and model preparation - Developing a better understanding of regional and local geology - Handling geology team financial matters for smooth workflow - Utilizing mining software such as Surpac, Datamine, Micromine, ArcGIS, Global Mapper, and AutoCAD - Producing Mineral Resource statements/reports following international reporting code guidelines - Collaborating with technical disciplines like engineering, environment, mining, and survey - Reviewing and evaluating Mineral Resource estimations by other parties - Assisting with auditing and technical-economic models for financial evaluations - Providing guidance and training on-site for efficient operations - Assisting the mining team with quality control activities and reconciliation of resource/reserve periodically Additionally, you should have: - Experience in mining projects, particularly in copper mining - Project management skills with a focus on schedules and timely project completion - Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in the mining industry - Proficiency in coordinating with technical and engineering teams - Strong leadership and supervisory skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work on-site in Vadodara - Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geology, or related field - Experience in procurement, construction, and commissioning in the mining industry is a plus Your role is crucial in ensuring the success of exploration projects and contributing to the overall growth and development of the company in the mining industry.
