Chief Financial Officer

Job Purpose

The CFO will be the strategic leader of the Finance & Accounts function, responsible for financial planning, compliance, risk management, and guiding the Finance team to excellence. The role demands expertise in finance, accounting, treasury, and compliance, coupled with working knowledge of corporate and commercial laws to ensure smooth, risk-free operations.

Role & responsibilities

Financial Planning & Strategy

• Develop and oversee annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans aligned with business objectives.
  
• Drive capital allocation, cost optimization, and long-term investment strategies to ensure financial sustainability.
  
• Provide financial insights to the leadership team for strategic decision-making.
  

Finance, Accounting & Compliance

• Lead the Finance & Accounts team across all company units.
  
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  
• Oversee compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements (GST, Income Tax, Companies Act, SEZ, Customs, etc.).
  
• Ensure legal and secretarial compliance
  

Risk Management & Legal Oversight

• Establish and maintain strong internal financial controls and audit practices.
  
• Oversee statutory and internal audits and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
  
• Possess working knowledge of

  corporate law, labor law, and commercial contracts

  to safeguard company interests.
• Evaluate and mitigate financial and legal risks.
  

Banking, Treasury & Fund Management

• Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions, auditors, and regulatory authorities.
  
• Oversee treasury operations, debt financing, and credit facilities.
  
• Negotiate banking and financing terms to optimize cost of funds.
  

Performance Monitoring & MIS

• Maintain a strong MIS system for timely and actionable financial reporting.
  
• Track actual vs. budget performance and provide variance analysis with recommendations.
  
• Provide advisory to departments for cost control and process efficiency.
  

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and develop the Finance & Accounts team.
  
• Foster a culture of financial discipline, compliance, and accountability across departments.
  
• Work cross-functionally with operations, QA/RA, HR, production, and supply chain teams.
