Job Description

Role Summary:

We require an Indian Nationals Only and candidate must be willing to relocate to The Confluence (Institute Residence).

We are looking for an experienced Cook, preferably with a maritime background, to manage the in-house kitchen at The Confluence. The Chief Cook will be responsible for menu planning, meal preparation, kitchen hygiene, food storage, and overall culinary operations in a disciplined, organized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and prepare daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), with menu variety and nutrition in focus
Manage kitchen operations, food provisioning, storage, inventory, and supply procurement
Ensure highest standards of food hygiene, kitchen cleanliness, safe handling and storage of food items
Maintain kitchen logs for food purchases, stock, wastage, consumption
Supervise kitchen staff/ support staff (if any), assign duties, maintain discipline and cleanliness
Prepare weekly/ monthly meal plans; adapt to dietary preferences/ special requirements if any
Manage food budget, minimize wastage, maintain cost-effective supply management

Who We re Looking For:

Prior experience as cook/ chef preferably maritime/ shipboard background or large-scale kitchen
Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, kitchen maintenance and inventory control
Good cooking skills across cuisines; ability to plan menus and manage large-volume cooking
Organizational skills, reliability, discipline, good communication, ability to work full-time
