Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Chemistry Faculty member to join our Polytechnic College. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in Chemistry to diploma-level students, fostering a strong academic environment, and contributing to curriculum development, laboratory management, and student mentoring.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective lectures in Chemistry (Physical, Organic, Inorganic) for diploma engineering students.
• Prepare lesson plans and instructional materials in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, practical sessions, and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Evaluate students’ performance through assessments, practicals, assignments, and exams.
• Maintain accurate student records including attendance, grades, and feedback.
• Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and support to students.
• Participate in departmental meetings, academic planning, and other institutional activities.
• Assist in curriculum design, review, and continuous improvement processes.
• Engage in professional development activities to stay updated with advancements in chemistry and pedagogy.
• Support extracurricular and co-curricular student activities as needed.

Qualifications:

• Essential:
• M.Sc. in Chemistry (General/Applied/Industrial) from a recognized university.
• B.Ed. or teaching experience at diploma level (preferred but not mandatory for some roles).
• Desirable:
• NET/SET qualification or Ph.D. (if applicable).
• Prior teaching experience in Polytechnic or Engineering institutions.
• Familiarity with Outcome-Based Education (OBE) and accreditation processes (e.g., NBA/NAAC).

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry.
• Effective communication and classroom management skills.
• Ability to explain complex scientific concepts in a simple manner.
• Good interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Proficiency in using digital tools for teaching (PowerPoint, LMS, etc.).

Salary:

Upto 25k Per Month

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
