Chassis Design Engineer (Rubber & Isolator)

Role Overview: You will be responsible for the design and development of suspension isolators for Engine/HV battery installation, aggregate mounts, and related components to minimize vibrations and noise. Additionally, you will work on chassis aggregates, including casting parts and sheet metal parts for the mounting of battery, Engine, and other aggregates. Your role will involve problem-solving to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the design, installation, and operation of isolators. You will also need to identify solutions as per requirements and collaborate with cross-functional departments and development partners. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize in-depth knowledge of rubber technology for suspension isolators, including design principles, operational procedures, and maintenance protocols. - Demonstrate proficiency in mechanical design and engineering to develop robust and reliable suspension isolator systems for High voltage battery, Engine, and other aggregate mounting. - Coordinate activities with cross-functional teams and suppliers for serial changes and within projects. - Understand manufacturing processes such as rubber, sheet metal, casting, and machining. - Hands-on experience in CATIA V5 R20 for model preparation using modules like part design, SMD, GSD, assembly, and drawings. - Perform design documentation in PLM and generate Bill of Materials. - Apply knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and conduct tolerance stack-up analysis. - Exhibit strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to work in cross-functional teams. - Display willingness to take responsibility, make decisions, and support project teams. - Be flexible for international travel. Qualifications Required: - BE / M-Tech in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering. - 8 to 12 years of experience in suspension isolator technology, mechanical design, project coordination, manufacturing processes, CATIA V5 R20, design documentation, GD&T, interpersonal skills, responsibility and decision-making, cross-functional teamwork, and international travel.
