Job Description

Chartered Accountant (Real Estate Industry)

Location:

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Lead preparation and finalization of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with IND-AS, Companies Act, and internal financial controls.
  • Oversee project accounting, revenue recognition (percentage completion / completed contract), land acquisition accounting, and RERA compliance.
  • Maintain accurate financials in

    ERP

    , ensuring proper GL mapping, reconciliations, and audit readiness.

2. Budgeting, Forecasting & MIS

  • Drive project-wise budgeting, cash flow planning, and feasibility studies.
  • Conduct detailed variance analysis and provide financial insights to management.
  • Generate project financial MIS from

    SAP

    , including profitability, fund utilization, sales performance, and development cost tracking.

3. Taxation, Audit & Compliance

  • Handle end-to-end GST, TDS, Income Tax filings, and real estate-specific tax requirements.
  • Manage statutory, tax, and internal audits with complete documentation.
  • Ensure adherence to RERA guidelines, land documentation, stamp duty payments, and regulatory compliance.

4. Project Finance & Fund Management

  • Monitor multi-project inflows/outflows and ensure optimal working capital management.
  • Coordinate with banks/financial institutions for loan processing, documentation, and project funding.
  • Evaluate funding risks, financial exposure, and control mechanisms.

5. Vendor, Customer & Internal Coordination

  • Oversee vendor bills, agreements, purchase orders, and payment cycles using ERP.
  • Ensure accurate customer accounting, invoicing, receipts, and reconciliation.
  • Collaborate with Sales, CRM, Projects, Purchase, and Legal for seamless financial operations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong expertise in

    Real Estate Accounting

    , JD/JV financial structures, project costing, and revenue recognition.
  • Strong knowledge of

    GST, TDS, IND-AS

    , and financial controls.
  • Excellent in

    Advanced Excel

    , financial modeling, MIS dashboards.
