Chart Research QA Specialist

Role Overview: As a Chart Research QA Specialist at Ventra, you will be responsible for reviewing medical files to ensure accuracy and validate that Chart Research Department procedures are followed. Your role will involve monitoring quality, coaching team members, collaborating with supervisors and managers, identifying training opportunities, and performing special projects as assigned. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor quality by reporting on one Chart Research Specialist per week to ensure team meets quality goals. - Provide coaching to Chart Research Representatives if quality goals are not being met. - Collaborate with Chart Research Supervisor and Chart Research Manager to identify training and system enhancement opportunities. - Identify and report any trends to Chart Research Supervisor and Chart Research Manager. - Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required: - High School Diploma or GED. - Minimum of six (6) months of experience in handling patient health information and/or medical records. - Working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, legal aspects of health information. - Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) such as Cerner, Meditech, Epic, PICIS. - Strong supervisory/management, critical thinking, organizational, and time management skills. - Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software. - Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. - Ability to take initiative, troubleshoot effectively, and provide innovative solutions. - Understanding and application of state/federal laws, regulations, and policies. - Sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately. - Flexibility to work in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. - Effective communication with diverse personalities in a tactful, mature, and professional manner.
