 Centre Manager - Microfinance 
 Job Overview 
The Centre Manager - Microfinance is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a microfinance branch or centre. This role ensures the efficient delivery of financial services, manages branch staff, maintains customer relationships, and supports the achievement of business targets. The Centre Manager plays a key role in promoting financial inclusion and supporting the economic development of the served community.  Key Responsibilities 
  • Oversee all activities of the microfinance centre, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage, train, and motivate branch staff to achieve performance targets and deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Monitor portfolio quality, ensure timely collection of repayments, and minimize delinquency and default rates.
  • Implement strategies to grow the centre’s client base and expand outreach in the target community.
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients and staff to review progress, address challenges, and promote financial literacy.
  • Prepare and submit regular operational and financial reports to senior management.
  • Ensure the security of the branch’s cash, assets, and confidential information.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, local community leaders, and other stakeholders.
  • Resolve client issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner.
  • Promote the centre’s products and services, ensuring alignment with the needs of the community.

  •  Qualifications and Skills 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. Master’s degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in microfinance, banking, or financial services, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of microfinance products, credit assessment, and risk management principles.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficient in using MS Office and microfinance management software.
  • Commitment to ethical practices, client protection, and community development.
  • Fluency in local language(s) is highly desirable.

  •  Work Environment 
  • Based at a microfinance branch or centre.
  • May require travel within the assigned region to meet with clients and stakeholders.
  • Standard office hours, with occasional extended hours depending on operational needs.
