Location: Central War Room, Chennai
Role Purpose
The CCTV Monitoring Controller is responsible for real-time monitoring, incident detection, escalation, and reporting from the War Room. The role ensures 24/7 vigilance, quick response to security threats, operational deviations, and compliance with SOPs across all monitored sites.
Key Responsibilities
Surveillance & Monitoring
Monitor CCTV feeds, access controls, and alarms for all locations from the central war room.
Identify and report suspicious activities, policy violations, or safety risks in real-time.
Track and escalate incidents to concerned security officers, unit heads, or emergency response teams.
Ensure that camera systems are functional (report downtime or blind spots immediately).
Incident Management
Log and classify incidents (theft, intrusion, fire hazard, staff misconduct, safety breach, operational deviations).
Initiate SOP-based escalation protocols for each incident type.
Coordinate with local security teams, police, or emergency services when required.
Maintain incident reports, evidence logs, and CCTV footage backups for investigations.
War Room Operations
Support the War Room in acting as a central communication hub during crises.
Participate in drills, mock exercises, and emergency preparedness programs.
Monitor operational KPIs like staff movement, vehicle entry/exit, and compliance to site safety.
Assist in tracking real-time manpower deployment, asset safety, and operational productivity (if integrated with ERP/GPS).
Compliance & Data Security
Ensure monitoring aligns with legal and organizational data privacy standards.
Follow chain-of-custody protocols for handling CCTV footage.
Maintain strict confidentiality of surveillance data.
Reporting & Documentation
Prepare daily monitoring reports with incident logs, escalations, and resolutions.
Submit real-time alerts to management for high-risk cases.
Generate monthly analysis dashboards on incident frequency, site risk rating, and response time.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
% of incidents detected vs. missed.
Average response time to escalations.
Uptime of CCTV monitoring systems.
Accuracy & completeness of incident reporting.
Compliance with monitoring SOPs.
Reduction in repeat incidents through proactive monitoring.
Qualifications & Experience
Graduate in Security Management / IT / Electronics (preferred).
5–10 years’ experience in CCTV monitoring, control room operations, or security war room functions.
Familiarity with CCTV systems, VMS (Video Management Systems), and access control software.
Experience in security operations in hotels, malls, hospitals, factories, or corporate groups is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of cybersecurity & data protection preferred.

Strong observation and situational awareness.
Ability to work under high-pressure, 24/7 monitoring shifts.
Quick decision-making and escalation judgment.
Technical knowledge of CCTV systems, DVR/NVR, and networking basics.
