Category Specialist Corporate Procurement

As a Category Specialist in Corporate Procurement at ABB, you will play a crucial role in supporting the internal stakeholders from ABB's Headquarter by executing the implementation of the Procurement Strategy in alignment with relevant category teams and business stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include purchasing according to required needs, specification, price, delivery schedule, and terms, as well as managing the cooperation with a portfolio of ABB approved suppliers and overseeing their performance. Additionally, you will provide market information, analyze and evaluate bids to determine the optimal value, and negotiate agreements with main suppliers. You will be responsible for ensuring sourcing events are completed using eSourcing tools and maintaining full control over supplier master data. Identifying and qualifying new suppliers in collaboration with internal stakeholders, initiating and implementing cost-out programs/processes to reach financial targets, and recommending optimization solutions will also be part of your role. Moreover, you will coordinate procurement orders and deliveries while providing reports and updates in the systems. To be successful in this role, you ideally possess 3 years of experience in Procurement, specifically in Indirect Services Procurement within the categories of HR and Marketing Services or equivalent extensive experience working in the HR and/or Marketing category. Strong negotiation skills, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, the ability to represent Corporate Procurement at all seniority levels, and being a good team player while also capable of working independently are essential qualifications. Strong problem-solving skills, familiarity with legal and contractual terms and language, fluency in spoken and written English, proactive participation in achieving team goals, and a positive response to new situations and challenges are also desired attributes.
