Catastrophe modeling analyst/senior analyst/consultant

Responsibilities:

• Model Input Preparation: Prepare data for modeling using Excel and other cleansing tools. Ensure data accuracy and readiness for analysis.

• Analyzing Exposures: Conduct geocoding and implement modeling assumptions accurately throughout the modeling process. Ensure that the correct model and peril settings are applied.

• Collaborate with senior analysts to create and maintain catastrophe models that assess the impact of natural events like earthquakes, hurricanes, and floods.

• Support the underwriting process by analyzing and interpreting catastrophe risk data.

• Able to interpret the legal or contractual insurance agreement as written globally and application of the various financials to calculate the exposure per policy

• Assist in generating detailed reports and presentations for clients, summarizing model results and risk assessments.

• Ensure clear and concise communicate on a day to day basis with onshore team regarding any issue or clarification

• Engage in ongoing training programs to enhance your knowledge and skills in catastrophe modeling.

• Adhere to the guidelines and processes defined in the manuals and agreed with the onshore team

• Participate in team meetings and discussions to share insights and learnings.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Finance)
• 3- 6 years experience
• Analytical Skills and Statistics proficiency
• Experience in Statistical Modeling and Data Analytics
• Finance knowledge and expertise
• Strong problem-solving abilities
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
