Job Summary: ( Plus Service Charge + Tips)

The Cashier is responsible for processing customer transactions efficiently, accurately, and with a positive attitude. The role involves handling cash, credit, and debit transactions, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the checkout area in a clean and organized manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transaction Processing:
• Accurately handle customer purchases by scanning items and entering prices into the Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Accept payments, issue receipts, and manage refunds or exchanges in compliance with store policies.
• Balance cash register at the start and end of each shift.
• Customer Service:
• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner.
• Respond to customer inquiries about products, prices, or store policies.
• Assist customers with resolving transaction-related issues or complaints.
• Cash Handling:
• Count cash in the register at the beginning and end of shifts, ensuring accurate amounts.
• Secure cash payments and deposit them in accordance with store security procedures.
• Handle credit, debit, and mobile payments, ensuring all transactions are processed correctly.
• Checkout Area Management:
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the checkout counter.
• Restock bags, receipt paper, and other supplies as needed.
• Ensure the register is ready for use during busy periods by keeping items in place and minimizing delays.
• Promotions and Discounts:
• Apply any promotional codes, loyalty discounts, or gift cards accurately as per store guidelines.
• Inform customers of ongoing sales, promotions, and store events when applicable.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• Experience:
• Prior experience as a cashier or in a retail environment is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with basic POS systems is a plus.
• Skills:
• Basic math skills and ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹24,000.00 - ₹26,000.00 per month
