Job Title: Elderly Caretaker / Home Health Aide
Department: Home Health Care Services
Location: Bangalore, Kalyan nagar, White filed, Bommahalli, Electronic city, Sarajpur, Hebbal.
Reporting To: Care Manager / Operations Head
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and responsible Caretaker to provide personalized home-based care to elderly individuals, patients recovering from illness or surgery, and those requiring daily assistance. The caretaker will ensure the client’s comfort, hygiene, safety, and overall well-being while promoting their independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Care & Assistance
Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and toileting.
Support clients with mobility, including transfers from bed to chair, walking assistance, and exercise routines as instructed.
2. Health Monitoring
Observe and report any changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition.
Record vital signs (if trained) and report abnormalities to the supervisor.
Remind clients to take medications as prescribed (no administration of medicines unless certified).
3. Companionship & Emotional Support
Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
Engage clients in light conversation, games, or activities to maintain their mental well-being.
4. Household Support
Assist in maintaining a clean and safe home environment.
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation according to dietary preferences.
5. Client Safety & Hygiene
Maintain high standards of hygiene and infection control.
Ensure the client’s safety at all times, especially for elderly or bedridden individuals.
Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 10th pass or equivalent education preferred.
Previous experience in caregiving, nursing assistance, or home health care is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of elderly and patient care practices.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physically fit and patient, with a caring attitude and attention to detail.
Work Conditions:Work performed at client’s residence.
May require day, night, or 24-hour (live-in) shifts based on client needs.
Must adhere to organizational policies, confidentiality standards, and safety protocols.
