Caretaker

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caretaker to provide high-quality in-home care for elderly clients or individuals needing assistance with daily activities. The caretaker will ensure clients’ physical, emotional, and social well-being while maintaining their dignity, independence, and comfort. Key ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care Assistance: Help clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility. Assist with feeding and ensuring proper nutrition. Companionship & Emotional Support: Engage in conversation and recreational activities to promote mental well-being. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation. Health Monitoring: Observe and report changes in the client’s physical or emotional condition to the supervisor. Monitor vital signs if required (under supervision or as trained). Medication Reminders: Remind clients to take prescribed medications on time (as per instructions). Household Support: Assist with light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organizing client’s space). Prepare simple, nutritious meals following dietary requirements. Mobility Support: Assist clients in moving around safely, including transfers (bed to wheelchair, etc.). Client Safety: Ensure a safe and hygienic environment. Follow company protocols and report any incidents or concerns promptly. Required Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience as a caretaker, home health aide, or in a similar caregiving role preferred. Basic knowledge of elderly care, hygiene, and safe handling techniques. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physically fit to assist with mobility support and daily activities. Compassionate, patient, and respectful toward clients’ needs and dignity. Work ConditionsWork is performed at clients’ homes. May require day shift, night shift, or live-in arrangements based on client needs. Adherence to health, safety, and confidentiality policies is mandatory.
