Role Overview

Career Counselor

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct personalized counseling sessions for students and parents to understand their academic goals, interests, and challenges.

• Recommend suitable learning plans and pathways based on student profiles and aspirations.

• Guide students in subject selection, board exams, competitive exam preparation (IIT-JEE/NEET/Foundation), and career exploration.

• Manage inbound/outbound counseling calls and video sessions.

• Maintain detailed records of student interactions, progress, and feedback in CRM tools.

• Collaborate with sales, academic, and product teams to ensure high satisfaction and conversions.

• Stay updated with changes in the K12 education system, entrance exams, and board curricula.

• Participate in webinars, workshops, and student orientation programs.

Mandatory Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in career or academic counseling in the EdTech or school education space.

• Strong understanding of CBSE, ICSE, and State Board curriculums and academic structures.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and regional languages (Telugu/Hindi preferred).

• High emotional intelligence and ability to connect with both students and parents.

• Familiarity with career guidance tools, psychometric assessments, and counseling frameworks.

• Experience working with CRM systems (Zoho, LeadSquared, etc.) and MS Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Psychology, Education, Counseling, or related fields.

• Certification in career counseling or student guidance is a plus.

• Exposure to both online and offline EdTech counseling models.
