Role & responsibilities Patient Communication: Manage patient communications via phone, email, and other systems, including sending reminders, letters, and updates. Appointment Scheduling: Book and manage patient appointments, and clinic changes, and reschedule appointments as needed. Waiting List Management: Maintain and update the cardiology waiting list, ensuring patients receive timely care and meeting waiting time targets. Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to the cardiology team, including handling inquiries, updating records, and maintaining files. Liaison with Clinical Staff: Work closely with clinical teams (doctors, nurses, etc.) to ensure efficient patient care and address any concerns or issues. Patient Care: Demonstrate empathy and professionalism when interacting with patients, families, and caregivers, especially when dealing with difficult situations. Process Improvement: Maintain accurate patient records and track patient outcomes. Process Improvement: Assist in developing and improving processes to enhance efficiency and patient care. Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to reduce hospital readmissions and improve patient outcomes. Skills and Qualifications: Excellent Communication Skills: Proficient in both written and verbal communication, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely with patients, staff, and other healthcare professionals. Hands-on experience in Cardiology Department as a coordinator. Strong Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize workload, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Customer Service Skills: Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring a positive experience.
