Job Description: Personal Driver (Private Use) Position: Personal / Family Driver (Four Wheeler) Location: Kolkata, West Bengal Employment Type: Full-Time, Live-Out Vehicle Provided by: Employer Role Summary: A reputable family in Kolkata seeks a dependable, safe, and discreet Personal Driver for private use. The primary responsibility is to provide secure, punctual, and courteous transportation for family members. The ideal candidate will be professional, have an impeccable driving record, and possess an excellent knowledge of Kolkata's roads. Integrity and confidentiality are paramount. Key Responsibilities: 1. Primary Driving Duties: * Safely chauffeur family members to and from various locations such as schools, workplaces, appointments, social events, and other personal engagements. * Exhibit defensive driving techniques and strict adherence to all traffic laws. * Plan and navigate routes efficiently using knowledge of Kolkata's traffic patterns to ensure timely arrivals. * Assist passengers with doors, packages, and other items as needed. 2. Vehicle Stewardship: * Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle (tyres, oil, fuel, water, brakes) to ensure it is in perfect working condition. * Keep the vehicle's interior and exterior impeccably clean. * Coordinate with the employer for all scheduled maintenance, servicing, and necessary repairs. * Maintain a log of trips, mileage, and expenses if required. 3. Safety and Discretion: * Ensure the safety and security of all passengers, especially children and elderly members, at all times. * Exercise sound judgment regarding safe parking and vehicle security. * Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding the family's schedule, conversations, and personal affairs. This is non-negotiable. 4. Professional Conduct: * Be consistently punctual, well-groomed, and professional. * Demonstrate patience, courtesy, and a calm demeanor in all driving conditions. * Be flexible with working hours, as the role may require early mornings, late evenings, or occasional weekend duties. * Communicate clearly and respectfully. Mandatory Requirements & Skills: License: A valid, clean Light Motor Vehicle (LMV) driving license. Experience: Minimum of 8-15 years of verifiable experience as a personal/family driver within Kolkata. Location Knowledge: Expert-level knowledge of Kolkata's roads, neighborhoods, shortcuts, and traffic conditions. Safe Record: A proven history of safe driving with no major violations or accidents. Languages: Fluency in Bengali and Hindi is essential. Basic English comprehension is a strong advantage. Character: Must be honest, trustworthy, patient, and non-smoking/non-drinking while on duty. Must have excellent personal and professional references. Preferred Qualifications: Experience driving for high-net-worth individuals or families. Proficiency in handling both manual and automatic transmission vehicles. Familiarity with using GPS navigation apps (like Google Maps/Waze) as a supplement to route knowledge. Basic first-aid knowledge. Terms & Conditions: Working Hours: Approximately 12 hours per day, 6 days a week. A schedule will be provided. Leave: As per mutual agreement (typically one fixed weekly off and paid leave as per policy).
