Calibration Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented NABL Calibration Engineer to support the operations of our NABL-accredited laboratory. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting calibrations, maintaining measurement standards, and ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025:2017 requirements. The role demands hands-on expertise in various calibration domains such as mechanical, thermal, electrical, pressure, or dimensional, as per the lab’s scope of accreditation. Key Responsibilities: Perform calibration of instruments and equipment as per ISO/IEC 17025 guidelines and in accordance with the lab's scope of accreditation. Prepare and review calibration certificates, uncertainty budgets, and traceability documents. Ensure accurate documentation, traceability, and recordkeeping as per NABL requirements. Maintain and verify reference standards and master equipment to ensure they are within calibration due dates. Assist in internal audits, proficiency testing (PT), and inter-laboratory comparisons (ILC). Participate in method validation, measurement uncertainty evaluation, and continual improvement initiatives. Ensure calibration procedures and equipment align with international standards and NABL requirements. Coordinate with clients for on-site calibrations and technical support when required. Assist in managing the laboratory’s quality system, including NCRs, CAPAs, and quality documentation. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 2–3 years of hands-on experience in a NABL-accredited calibration laboratory . Solid understanding of ISO/IEC 17025:2017 , traceability concepts, and uncertainty evaluation. Proficient in using calibration equipment and software for relevant domains (e.g., vernier, micrometers, pressure gauges, RTDs, multimeters, etc.). Experience in generating calibration certificates with proper measurement uncertainty calculations.
