Job Description

Role Overview: As a CAE Engineer, you will be responsible for the Vehicle Strength & Durability CAE Evaluation. Your role will involve CAE Modelling for automotive sub-systems, particularly components related to Body & Chassis Structure & Closures. You will conduct Strength & Durability analysis for both Linear & Non-Linear cases, interpret results, identify failure modes, and provide directions for countermeasures to meet performance criteria. Additionally, you will document results, communicate with stakeholders for implementation of failure countermeasures, collaborate with Testing teams, and support in the generation and evaluation of Value Enhancement proposals. Key Responsibilities: - Perform CAE Modelling including Mesh discretization, Assembly, Constraint & Load setting for automotive sub-systems. - Conduct Strength & Durability analysis for Linear & Non-Linear cases. - Interpret results, comprehend failure modes, and provide directions for countermeasures. - Document results and communicate with stakeholders for implementation of failure countermeasures. - Collaborate with Testing teams, analyze failures, correlate CAE results with physical testing results, and make improvements in CAE model. - Support in the generation and evaluation of Value Enhancement proposals. Qualification Required: - Essential: BE / B Tech (preferably Mechanical) - Desirable: ME / M Tech (preferably Mechanical Design or equivalent) Additional Company Details: The company is looking for a CAE Engineer with strong fundamentals in Strength of Materials, Machine design, and Fatigue. Knowledge of Finite Element Analysis and experience in working in Body Structures & Closures CAE domain is required. Basic knowledge of Automotive Body & Sheet metal design is a plus. Proficiency in software tools such as Hypermesh, Nastran, LS-Dyna, Hyperview, and LS Pre-Post is necessary. Exposure to Fatigue evaluation software like FEMFAT, MSC Fatigue, NCode, and Multibody software (e.g., ADAMS) will be advantageous. Familiarity with Optimization software like Optistruct and Mode Frontier is preferred. Experience in physical testing and the ability to suggest countermeasures for performance improvement are also essential. Excellent interpersonal skills, communication & presentation skills, achievement orientation, teamwork, and networking skills are desired behavioral competencies for this role.
