Buying Assistant

Role Overview: You will be responsible for driving sales and meeting the demand optimally in the assigned category by ensuring the availability of the right product and brand mix at the right time. Your role will involve being aware of market trends, implementing buying and seasonal calendars efficiently, tracking sales performance, managing vendor and internal team relationships, and more. Key Responsibilities: - Understand the trends in the international market and adapt them to suit the domestic market - Align buying with the plan to drive sales, margin, and inventory as per the budget - Submit range presentations to stakeholders within defined periods - Define min max and inner/outer carton quantities, planogram new ranges based on stock density - Initiate buying according to OTB, ensuring timely delivery and availability of right stocks - Manage end-to-end process of product PO, confirmations, inspections, shipments, and deliveries - Prepare FABs and training modules for the assigned category - Coordinate with the design team and vendors for the packaging of products - Track sales performance post-launch and take necessary actions - Regularly collect and analyze product feedback during store visits - Conduct surveys to understand customer behavior, competition mapping, and pricing strategy - Monitor stock aging and make recommendations for space planning - Collaborate with various teams to translate category goals onto the floor and ensure adequate stock availability Qualifications Required: - Knowledge of market trends and ability to adapt them for the domestic market - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and relationship management skills - Experience in product planning, presentation, and performance analysis - Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams - Prior experience in retail or related industry would be an advantage,
