As a Market Trend Analyst in the garment industry, your role involves monitoring, studying, analyzing, and understanding market trends in different garment categories. You will be responsible for analyzing research results to predict future trends and translating them into saleable options to achieve target sales and margins. Your focus will be on meeting customer aspirations by ensuring fissionability, variety, quality, and price alignment. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze past sales patterns to anticipate consumer buying trends - Drive the overall aesthetics and visual appeal of the department - Visualize, plan, and execute detailed assortment mixes based on budgets and customer requirements - Manage price architecture, option count, and variety at stores - Create purchase orders based on demand forecasts and requisitions - Negotiate purchase value and terms with suppliers - Liaise with vendors to understand trends and new products Qualifications Required: - Experience: 6 to 9 years in a similar role - Education: Minimum graduation in fashion management, preferably with a PG diploma or degree from a top fashion institute Key Skills and Attributes: - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision - Strong reporting, team working, and vendor management skills - Good organizational skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities - In-depth understanding of the product lifecycle and apparel industry norms - Excellent communication and negotiation skills This role requires someone with a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for staying ahead of market trends in the garment industry.
