Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Quality Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead & drive the overall Quality function across

    four plants

  • Develop long-term quality strategies aligned with business objectives and customer standards.
  • Ensure all Plant Quality Heads directly report and adhere to corporate quality systems.

2. Plant & Process Quality Excellence

  • Establish and monitor plant-wide quality systems, audits, process controls, and compliance.
  • Drive initiatives for

    zero-defect manufacturing

    , reducing COPQ, and improving process capability.
  • Oversee NPD quality, supplier quality, and in-process quality across all units.

3. Customer Quality Management

  • Act as the

    second level of escalation

    for customer complaints and field issues.
  • Manage end-to-end quality interactions with leading

    2W customers

  • Ensure timely resolution of customer issues, warranty matters, and critical quality incidents.

4. Mechatronics Product Quality

  • Oversee quality of mechatronics components and assemblies.
  • Ensure product reliability, testing protocols, validation processes, and defect analysis.

5. Team Leadership & Functional Development

  • Mentor and guide plant quality leaders and central quality teams.
  • Build strong quality culture across all plants through training, audits, and best practices.
  • Promote continuous improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen) across all manufacturing setups.

6. Governance, Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF standards, regulatory, and OEM-specific requirements.
  • Review and publish quality dashboards, MIS, customer scorecards, and business impact reports.
  • Coordinate with Business Head for strategic quality reviews and improvement roadmaps.
  • Preferred candidate profile

  • Deep functional knowledge in

    2W OEM quality and mechatronics products

  • Excellent customer handling & escalation management.
  • Expertise in IATF16949, PPAP, FMEA, RCA, CAPA, APQP, MSA, SPC, etc.
  • Strong communication, leadership & problem-solving skills.
