Job Description

Role & responsibilities


  • Mandatory experience of meeting and converting clients like higher management of Hospitals (CXO levels of hospital authorities ex-procurement head, head of hospitals etc). Should be currently in Business Development role. Managing Hospital authorities only.

  • The candidate should have experience in breakthrough of a new product in market.

  • Will be responsible for gaining new accounts in Healthcare & related Sectors. Identify & engage key decision makers, including IC committee, Operations team, microbiologist, hospital admins & procurement team.
  • Identify & pursue new business opportunities & manage end to end sales cycle, including formation of ARC, Supply contracts, generating mandates etc.
  • Develop & Implement strategic sales plans to achieve & exceed monthly, quarterly & annual sales plans.
  • Manage end to end relationships with end customer, provide expert advice and act as a consultant to customer to solve his key business challenges and ensure customer retention.
  • Develop & manage strategic accounts and own the relationship matrix.
  • Prepare & present to potential & existing customers, good presentation skills & solid communication skills.
  • Prepare & present sales reports, pipeline reports, CRM databases, sales forecasts & performance metrics for review with senior management.
  • Ability to manage a team of field sales reps & oversee day to day sales operation.
  • Plan, Coordinate & implement customer engagement programs
  • Plan & develop distributor channel & strategic partnerships to fulfill demand & ensure consistent product availability at local level.
  • Not looking for Sales/MR profile

Preferred candidate profile

  1. Education: Bachelors degree in pharmacy, life sciences, microbiology, biotechnology or any related field. MBA not mandatory.
  2. Experience: 5 6 years in healthcare industry, preferably in infection control or medical devices or medical consumables
  3. Other: Language proficiency, well groomed & own vehicle is must.
  4. Skills:
    1. Strong sales & negotiation skills
    2. Excellent communication & presentation skills
    3. Strategic thinking and ability to handle complex, multi party sales opportunities
    4. Willingness to travel extensively (50%)
    5. Understanding of infection control principles & familiar with healthcare industry purchase process
    6. Ability to work independently and take ownership
