Job Description

The Business Development Manager at BNI is responsible for driving the expansion and sustainability of BNI in the Surat region. Your main focus will be on launching new chapters, organizing impactful events, and identifying and developing future leaders. This role requires a dynamic individual with excellent networking, mentoring, and organizational skills. In terms of new chapter launches, you will need to identify potential core team members in target cities/locations, work closely with Launch Director Consultants (LDCs) during the launch process, ensure chapters are launched within BNIs timeline, and provide regular updates to leadership. For BNI events, you will be responsible for planning, promoting, and executing strategic events such as Visitors Days, Info Sessions, and Launch Events. Collaboration with leadership and chapters is key to driving attendance and visibility, using events as a platform for member engagement and acquisition, all while ensuring alignment with BNI branding and values. Identifying and grooming new leaders is another crucial aspect of the role. You will observe and evaluate potential leaders, recommend suitable candidates for various roles, work with Support Directors to onboard and mentor potential leaders, and track leadership development progress and chapter feedback. Monitoring results and growth in existing chapters is essential. This includes tracking key metrics like member growth, retention, referrals, and participation, identifying underperforming chapters, providing operational support to strengthen existing chapters, and assisting with alignment to BNIs systems and culture. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will include the number of new chapters launched per quarter, % of chapter launches completed within defined timelines, number of events organized, leaders identified and trained, and chapter growth metrics. Required skills and qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, 3+ years of experience in business development or network-based organizations, excellent communication and relationship-building skills, strong event planning abilities, and the ability to travel within the region for visits and events. Desirable traits include a passion for entrepreneurship and networking, understanding of BNI systems and culture, and being a strategic thinker with attention to detail and follow-through.
