Job Description

As a Business Development, IT Sales professional at WebSlate Software, your role will involve bidding in online marketplace portals like Elance, Guru.com, Freelancer.com, Odesk, etc. You will work with and expand the current prospect database within specific business sectors to generate effective leads and exceed sales targets for the business. Key Responsibilities: - Respond to incoming Requests for Information (RFIs), Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in a professional and creative manner. - Understand a prospect's business needs and collaborate with expert teams to develop a tailored digital marketing proposal. - Engage in solution-based consultative sales, application development and management services, outsourcing/offshoring IT consulting, and define and shape the go-to-market strategy for new business initiatives. - Collaborate with colleagues to identify common new business prospects and cross-sell integrated search and affiliate propositions. - Work closely with Marketing to identify appropriate go-to-market messaging for specific business sectors. - Enhance personal development by staying informed and up-to-date with industry knowledge. - Develop effective working relationships with customers through regular meetings and identify further sales and business development opportunities. - Follow up on new business opportunities and set up meetings. Qualifications Required: - Good business sense and the ability to meet targets. - Strong time management skills. - Excellent presentation and communication abilities. - Enthusiastic, ambitious, and confident approach. - Demonstrated initiative. - Deep understanding of marketing principles and negotiation skills. - Professional, flexible, and amicable demeanor. - Expertise in Internet and social media strategy with a proven track record. - Openness to travel as required.
