Business Development Head - Sheet metal Industry

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development: Overseeing the design, engineering, and prototyping of new sheet metal products and components to meet customer specifications and market trends.
• Process Innovation: Developing and implementing new manufacturing processes, tools, and equipment to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality in sheet metal fabrication.
• Team Leadership: Managing and motivating engineering and production teams, fostering collaboration with other departments (like design, engineering, and project management) to ensure cohesive product development.
• Quality Assurance: Ensuring that new products and processes meet strict quality standards and regulatory requirements, working to reduce defects and improve overall product performance.
• Strategic Planning: Contributing to the development of long-term strategies for growth, identifying market opportunities, and staying abreast of the latest technological advancements and best practices in the sheet metal industry.
• Project Management: Planning, executing, and monitoring multiple development projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and deliver the desired outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Education: A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is often a prerequisite.
• Experience: Significant experience in the sheet metal industry, with a proven track record in areas like production, design, and engineering.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, tooling development, and design software like AutoForm is valuable.
• Leadership & Communication: Excellent leadership, team management, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills are crucial for coordinating cross-functional teams and communicating with stakeholders.
• Business Acumen: An understanding of market dynamics, cost analysis, and supply chain logistics to optimize product development and manufacturing strategies.
