Role Overview

The Business Development Manager at YEDL plays a key role in expanding our apparel, e-commerce, and brand-building ecosystem. This position focuses on identifying new business opportunities, strengthening partnerships, driving revenue growth, and supporting the development of YEDLs in-house brands, third-party collaborations, and creative services.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market & Opportunity Development

  • Identify new business opportunities across apparel, e-commerce, wholesale, and private-label segments.
  • Conduct market research to understand trends, customer behavior, and competitor movements.
  • Explore potential partnerships with influencers, creators, retailers, and manufacturing units.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Drive sales pipelines for B2B, wholesale, and service-based clients.
  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets by converting leads into active partners.
  • Pitch YEDL services such as design, sourcing, branding, automation, and e-commerce solutions.

3. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
  • Act as the primary contact for brand partners, vendors, and collaborators.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding, communication, and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.

4. Brand & Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with internal teams (Design, R&D, Sourcing, Logistics, E-commerce) to deliver client requirements.
  • Support the launch of new brands, capsules, drops, and collaborations.
  • Ensure timelines, deliverables, and quality standards are met.

5. Strategic Planning

  • Develop strategies to expand YEDLs footprint in the apparel & streetwear ecosystem.
  • Propose new verticals, services, and market-entry opportunities.
  • Support founder-level planning and business scaling initiatives.

6. Vendor & Partner Network Expansion

  • Build networks with factories, suppliers, printers, logistics partners, and retailers.
  • Negotiate pricing, timelines, and contracts to support YEDL operations.
  • Maintain updated databases for all partners.

7. Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Prepare weekly and monthly business development reports.
  • Track KPIs such as lead conversions, revenue, pipeline growth, and client performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve processes and profitability.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with marketing teams to create pitch decks, proposals, and brand presentations.
  • Support product launches on SKRIM and other platforms.
  • Assist with photoshoots, campaigns, exhibitions, or events when required.

Skill Requirements

  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Understanding of fashion, apparel production, e-commerce, and brand development.
  • Ability to multitask, coordinate teams, and handle fast-paced environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with basic understanding of sales metrics and strategy.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, Excel, and business documentation.
