Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Executive – Fundraising (Direct Marketing) Department: Resource Mobilization / Fundraising Location: Bangalore Reporting To: City Manager / Fundraising Manager Objective:To raise funds for The Akshaya Patra Foundation through direct marketing and face-to-face donor interactions, targeting individual donors, retail partners, and small businesses. Build lasting donor relationships and contribute to the growth of the Foundation’s donor base and revenue. Key Responsibilities:1. Donor AcquisitionApproach potential individual donors at public locations (corporate parks, malls, residential societies, events, etc.). Explain the mission, work, and impact of the organization clearly and passionately. Convince individuals to contribute through recurring or one-time donations. 2. Donor Relationship ManagementMaintain regular contact with existing donors and update them about ongoing initiatives. Ensure donor queries are handled professionally and promptly. Build trust and rapport to encourage long-term giving. 3. Campaign Planning & ExecutionParticipate in planning and executing fundraising campaigns, stalls, and events. Ensure all marketing materials (banners, brochures, donor forms) are ready and accurate. Meet daily/weekly/monthly targets as assigned by the manager. 4. Reporting & DocumentationMaintain accurate records of donor details and contributions. Submit daily activity reports, donor feedback, and fundraising updates. Collaborate with the backend team for donor receipts, thank-you notes, and documentation. 5. Compliance & EthicsAdhere strictly to the organization’s policies regarding ethical fundraising practices. Maintain high levels of professionalism, transparency, and accountability. Qualifications & Experience:Graduate in any discipline. MBA in Marketing/Fundraising/Social Work is a plus. 1–3 years of experience in direct sales, fundraising, or business development. Freshers with excellent communication and passion for social causes may apply. Skills Required:Strong communication and interpersonal skills. High energy, confidence, and persuasive abilities. Basic computer knowledge for reporting (MS Excel, email, CRM tools). Language proficiency – English and local language. Key Attributes:Passionate about social impact and child welfare. Self-motivated and result-oriented. Team player and quick learner. Willingness to work on the field and travel within the city. Other Details:Compensation: Fixed + Incentives (based on performance) Working Hours: 6 days/week (including field activities) Incentives: Quarterly performance-based bonuses
