Business Data Associate

Responsibilities in Brief

We are looking for a Business Data Associate” (5-8 years of experience) with strong proficiency and experience to drive business requirements with a proactive approach, work closely with clients, subject matter experts, analyze industry relevant metrics and validate with Hexalytics business experts, and recommend industry standard metrics and analytics to clients. As a Business Data Associate, the responsibilities also include closely working with the development team to ensure the right product development, while also leading the testing effort with the QA team to ensure the quality of delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct industry analysis, understand user roles and profiles, articulate analysis and details specific to each role, and recommend industry standard metrics, KPIs, and analysis.
• Identify, assess, and document business requirements, with a clear articulation of what business questions can be answered and what decisions can be taken with the business insights being documented as requirements.
• Document business and data requirements specific to business intelligence projects.
• Thoroughly analyze and understand the data to identify relevant metrics and their formulation that will be applicable towards product development.
• Recommend priorities and business-oriented solutions to business partners, along with risks and rewards of various approaches.
• Accountable for the delivery of business requirements documentation, including use cases, user stories, etc..
• Work closely with Designers and Developers to ensure understanding of requirements that will be used for creating data architecture and design specifications.
• Test the application/solution and also assist the QA team to ensure that the required documentation can be easily translated into test plans.
• Create and manage traceability matrix and ensure that the proper testing plans have been completed and can be mapped back to requirements
• Participate in test results meetings and execute traceability activities to determine the cause of bugs, system errors, and failures during testing.

Skills & Abilities

• 5 - 8 years of relevant Business Data Analyst/Product Management experience.
• Experience conducting market intelligence and business research.
• Comfortable with both qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Skilled in understanding and translating business problems and stakeholder expectations into clear analytical questions.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to extract insights from large, complex datasets.
• Ability to identify relevant and high-impact business use cases from raw business discussions.
• Skilled in defining and aligning KPIs/metrics with strategic business goals.
• Proficient in designing and building dashboards and reports.
• Strong grasp of visualization best practices and storytelling with data.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
