Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in XML, JSON, and API-based data integrations. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design data exchange models, support technical integrations, and ensure successful delivery of product and platform enhancements.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document functional and technical requirements.
  
• Understand and interpret XML/JSON data structures, schemas, validations, and transformation logic.
  
• Collaborate with engineering teams to design and review API interfaces (REST/SOAP), data mappings, and integration workflows.
  
• Create detailed BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  
• Analyze data received in XML/JSON to validate business rules, troubleshoot issues, and support UAT.
  
• Work closely with QA teams to define test cases and support test execution.
  
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and cross-functional discussions.
  
• Provide product support by investigating production issues related to data or integrations.
  
• Ensure compliance with internal standards, best practices, and documentation guidelines.
  

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT/Product/Platform environments.
  
• Strong understanding of

  XML

  JSON

  , XSDs, schemas, validations, and transformation logic.
• Experience with

  API integrations

  , REST/SOAP, and data mapping.
• Hands-on experience working with tools like Postman, Swagger, or similar.
  
• Strong documentation skills: BRD, FRD, user stories, workflows, wireframes.
  
• Ability to analyze complex data sets, identify patterns, and draft clear insights.
  
• Good knowledge of SDLC & Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
  
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills.
  

Good-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with SQL or basic database querying.
  
• Experience in financial services, payments, insurance, or product-based companies.
  
• Exposure to data transformation tools or middleware platforms (Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, etc.).
  
• Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, BPMN tools.
  

Education

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
  
• Certifications like CBAP, CCBA, or Agile BA are a plus.
