Business Analyst Trade Finance & Supply Chain Finance

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Trade Finance and Supply Chain Finance (SCF) to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, clients, and technical teams. The candidate will be responsible for requirement elicitation, documentation (BRD/FSD), solution walkthroughs, and supporting the end-to-end delivery of Trade and SCF products within a digital or core banking ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Interact with corporate clients, business users, and banks to understand business processes and pain points.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements in the form of BRD (Business Requirement Document)and FSD (Functional Specification Document).
• Translate business requirements into functional and interface specifications for development teams.
• Conduct requirement workshops, GAP analysis, and process mapping (AS-IS / TO-BE).
• Collaborate closely with UI/UX, development, and QA teams to ensure alignment of solution design with business needs.
• Participate in UAT planning, test case review, and sign-off.
• Prepare process flow diagrams, use case models, and screen mockups where necessary.
• Support client demos, walkthroughs, and post-implementation reviews.
• Coordinate with technical architects and integration teams for Trade & SCF system interfaces (e.g., Core Banking, SWIFT, Host-to-Host, ERP connectors).
• Maintain traceability matrix and ensure end-to-end requirement coverage throughout the lifecycle.

Mandatory Requirements

Domain Expertise

• Strong working knowledge of Trade Finance products Import LC, Export LC, BG/SBLC, Import/Export Bills, Collections, and Open Account Trade.
• Hands-on understanding of Supply Chain Finance products Payables Finance, Receivables Finance, Distributor Finance, Factoring, Reverse Factoring, etc.
• Exposure to SWIFT message standards (MT7xx/MT4xx/MT103, MT798).
• Familiarity with banking workflows like Maker-Checker, Limit Utilization, Document Handling, and Credit Lines.

Business Analysis Skills

• Proven experience in preparing BRD, FSD, Use Case Documents, and Process Flow Diagrams.
• Experience in client-facing roles, conducting requirement workshops, and product walkthroughs.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end Trade and SCF transaction lifecycle.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology, QA, and Implementation.

Tools & Methodologies

• Requirement management tools (JIRA, Confluence)
• Tools like (Visio, Draw.io, FIGMA )
• Command of Excel, PowerPoint, and functional test case writing
• Great to have AI Tool usage knowledge like (Replit, Bolt etc.)

Nice to Have Skills

Technology / System Understanding

• Familiarity with Trade and SCF portals or digital banking platforms.
• Understanding of microservices-based architecture, RESTful APIs, and JSON/XML interfaces.
• Awareness of integration with Core Banking systems, LMS, SWIFT, and external document storage.
• Working knowledge of UI/UX design wireframes and ability to interpret mockups.
• Basic exposure to databases (SQL queries, data model understanding).

Awareness of technology stack like:

• Backend: Java (Spring Boot), Node.js
• Frontend: React, Angular
• Integration: REST API, Kafka, ESB
