Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Requirement Gathering & Analysis
  • Interact with clients, internal stakeholders, and end-users to understand product/business requirements.
  • Conduct detailed requirement elicitation sessions, workshops, and customer interviews.
  • Convert high-level business needs into clear, structured requirement documents, including FRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyse existing systems, workflows, and pain points to define improvement areas.
  • Planning & Conceptualization
  • Translate business needs into product concepts, features, and enhancements.
  • Prepare process flows, wireframes, user journeys, and data mapping to support development.
  • Participate in solutioning, and feasibility discussions with various stakeholders.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, efficiency improvement, and value addition.
  • Documentation
  • Own creation of detailed requirement documentation such as:
  • BRD / PRD / Functional Specs
  • Use cases & user stories
  • APIs / data mapping sheets
  • UI/UX requirement specifications
  • UAT scenarios and SOPs
  • Maintain updated documentation throughout the product lifecycle journey.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Engineering, QA, UI/UX, and other cross-functional teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery.
  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to remove blockers.
  • Conduct sprint refinements, backlog grooming, and impact analysis for change requests.
  • Provide clarifications to developers throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Client Interaction & Stakeholder Management
  • Act as a product representative during client discussions.
  • Present solutions, workflows, and functional capabilities confidently.
  • Handle requirement sign-offs, change requests, and client expectations.
  • Work with implementation teams for go-live planning and post-launch support.
  • Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Prepare test cases and UAT plans.
  • Conduct functional testing to ensure features meet defined acceptance criteria.
  • Support clients during UAT, track bugs, and work with QA and Dev teams for closure.
  • Requirement Lifecycle Ownership
  • Understand roadmap, contribute ideas, and recommend enhancements.
  • Monitor feature performance post-launch and identify optimization areas.
  • Support in crafting go-to-market inputs, release notes, and training materials.

Preferred candidate profile

SBI Payments is looking for a highly driven Business Analyst with strong product lifecycle capabilities to join the Technology & Solutions team. This role goes beyond traditional BA work and requires someone who can own modules end-to-end, understand customer requirements deeply, define workflows, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable digital solutions.

The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable acting as a bridge between business goals, user needs, and technical implementation.
