Engage with internal stakeholders, HR SMEs, L&D experts, and potential clients to gather and document detailed business and functional requirements.
Analyse current HR and L&D workflows, identify gaps, and translate them into effective SaaS features and user stories.
Prepare BRDs, FRDs, process flows, wireframes, and acceptance criteria to guide the development team.
Work closely with the Product Manager to define product roadmap priorities and ensure alignment with customer pain points in skills management and development.
Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify differentiating features for skill intelligence.
Participate in product design discussions, providing user journey perspectives.
Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), ensuring features meet business requirements and deliver high usability.
Prepare training materials, release notes, and support user onboarding documentation.
Monitor usage data post-release to derive insights for continuous product improvement.
Bachelors degree in HR, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum *3 years of experience as a Business Analyst* in the *HR and L&D domain*, preferably with exposure to technology or SaaS products.
Strong understanding of HR processes (e.g. job frameworks, skill matrix, assessments, talent development) and L&D processes (e.g. training needs analysis, competency mapping, LMS workflows).
Experience in gathering requirements for skill management, competency frameworks, assessments, or similar features is a strong advantage.
Excellent documentation skills BRDs, user stories, process maps, wireframes.
Familiarity with agile methodologies, sprint grooming, and backlog management.
Proficiency in tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Excel, Lucidchart, or similar.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with problem-solving orientation.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g. CBAP, CCBA) or Agile methodologies (e.g. CSM).
Experience working on SaaS products for HR or EdTech solutions.
Understanding of data analytics, skill intelligence platforms, and HRMS/LMS integrations.
Exposure to AI-driven HR technology or skill ontology design is a plus.
