Business Analyst (3+ yrs, Chennai)

Job Description

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong expertise in JIRA and experience working in Agile teams. The ideal candidate will be well-versed in Agile practices and participate actively in Agile sprint ceremonies. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into well-defined user stories for the development team. Key Responsibilities: Agile Sprint Ceremonies: Actively participate in all Agile sprint ceremonies, including: Sprint Planning: Collaborating with the team to define user stories and ensure clarity in acceptance criteria. Daily Stand-ups: Providing updates on progress, blockers, and upcoming tasks. Sprint Reviews: Helping demonstrate completed work and gather feedback from stakeholders. Sprint Retrospectives: Contributing insights to improve processes and team collaboration. JIRA Management: Use JIRA to create, track, and manage user stories, tasks, and bugs. Ensure proper backlog grooming and prioritization of user stories in JIRA. Regularly update the status of tasks and communicate progress to stakeholders. User Story Creation & Refinement: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and document clear, concise user stories. Break down high-level requirements into actionable tasks with acceptance criteria. Ensure user stories align with business goals and technical feasibility. Communication & Collaboration: Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and development teams. Ensure timely communication regarding requirements, changes, and priorities. Continuous Improvement: Identify process bottlenecks and suggest improvements to streamline Agile processes. Ensure alignment between Agile practices and business objectives. Skills & Qualifications: Proven experience as a Business Analyst in an Agile environment. Strong proficiency in JIRA for issue tracking and sprint management. In-depth understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.). Experience in creating and refining user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
