Build And Release Engineer

Job Summary:

InstallShield

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain

  InstallShield projects

  for application installation and deployment.
• Support build and release activities for

  .NET applications

  .
• Write and debug automation scripts using

  VBScript

  and

  JavaScript

  .
• Work with

  SQL Server

  for database updates, queries, and deployment support.
• Collaborate with developers and testers to ensure smooth build and deployment cycles.
• Manage builds and environments on

  Virtual Machines

  .
• Assist in implementing

  Azure DevOps pipelines

  for CI/CD processes.
• Troubleshoot build failures and provide quick resolutions.
• Maintain proper documentation of build and release processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 1 year of experience in

  software build and release engineering

  .
• Hands-on experience with

  InstallShield

  for installer packaging.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of

  .NET framework

  .
• Experience with

  VBScript

  and

  JavaScript

  scripting.
• Good knowledge of

  SQL Server

  (queries, stored procedures, deployment).
• Familiarity with

  Virtual Machines (VMWare/Hyper-V/VirtualBox)

  .
• Understanding of

  Azure DevOps concepts

  (Repos, Pipelines, Boards).
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
