Job Description

As a Brand Controller at L'Oral, your role will involve driving the Brand P&L for specific brands within the Consumer Product Division of L'Oral India. You will need to have 8-10 years of professional experience in FMCG industry. The location of this job opportunity is in Mumbai. Key Responsibilities: - Review return on investment related to marketing expenditure/sales deduction, analyze effectiveness, and propose suggestions - Review monthly business performance of each brand, provide strategic and financial decision/action plan in partnership with the brand general manager - Implement internal control function within the department (fixed asset capitalization, purchasing system, promotion planning/marketing proposal) - Undertake all cost analysis to detect risks and propose actions to maintain budgetary objectives - Manage profitability of each brand under the professional product division - Manage marketing spending to align with the budget and analyze the effectiveness to maximize ROI - Act as a business partner with commercial team and marketing team to drive and optimize investment in product and customer - Manage forecast and sales to ensure the company can achieve the target revenue - Have end-to-end financial responsibility of business P&L and processes - Ensure each line item of P&L is reviewed - Prepare Trends and Budgets and present them to stakeholders - Study and benchmark product pricing, margins, and discounting with competition regularly across channels - Drive Gross Margins of Channels - Provide timely analysis and inputs to Division Controller and other stakeholders Key Deliverables: - Delivery of key job responsibilities - Ensure all processes are followed - Ensure completion of any group internal control audit satisfactorily - Drive ROI mindset - Deliver brand and category P&L - Ensure timely monthly closings and reporting - Prepare P&L of all channels along with Gross Margins and full analysis of all drivers on a monthly basis and during trends and budgets Key Competencies: - Integrate with the commercial & Brand Teams of different channels - Complete understanding of Indian FMCG commercial working environment - Working knowledge of SAP and business tools - Act as an enabler - Solution-oriented - End-to-end understanding - Agility and adaptability - Act as a business partner - High level of accuracy and respect for timelines - Avoid postmortem of results at month-end and stay on top of business on a day-to-day basis to make timely decisions Key Relationships: - Marketing teams - Media Teams - Supply Chain Team - Commercial Team - Commercial Controllers - Corporate Finance - Regional Finance - Zonal Finance Physical Demands: - Travel will be need-based Education required: - Chartered Accountant/MBA,
