Job Description

providing customer support and handling back-office tasks through digital and written communication channels, such as email, live chat, social media, and internal ticketing systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Respond to Customer Inquiries:

    Promptly and accurately address customer questions and issues via email, live chat, or online ticketing platforms.
  • Issue Resolution:

    Identify and resolve customer problems efficiently, escalating complex issues to appropriate internal teams when necessary.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping:

    Maintain accurate and detailed records of all customer interactions and transactions within a CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system or database.
  • Manage Multiple Interactions:

    Effectively manage several chat conversations or emails simultaneously without compromising quality or accuracy.
  • Follow Procedures:

    Adhere to company policies, procedures, and quality standards while handling customer queries or back-office tasks.
  • Maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs):

    Ensure all tasks are completed within specified turnaround times and meet performance targets/KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Data Handling:

    Perform data entry, processing, and management tasks with a high degree of precision and attention to detail.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Education:

    A high school diploma or equivalent is generally the minimum requirement; a bachelor's degree is often preferred.
  • Communication:

    Excellent written communication skills, including strong grammar, spelling, and the ability to adapt tone for different platforms (e.g., professional email vs. informal chat).
  • Technical Proficiency:

    Strong computer skills and familiarity with standard software like Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software are essential.
  • Typing Speed:

    A fast and accurate typing speed (often 30-40+ words per minute) is typically required.
  • Problem-Solving:

    The ability to analyze information, troubleshoot issues, and provide effective solutions in a clear, concise written format.
  • Time Management & Organization:

    Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail:

    Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data handling and communication.
  • Experience:

    Previous customer service or BPO experience (especially non-voice) is a plus, though freshers are often welcome in entry-level roles.
