Book Alinda produces insightful works on art and history that draw from its archival collections and creative research efforts. Committed to preserving cultural narratives, it has published notable titles such as Engraved Epic Early Bengal Prints Of Ramayana, Mythological Oil Paintings: 19th & Early 20th Century of Bengal, among others. With a deep interest in visual storytelling, Book Alinda combines literature with design to bring historical texts, artworks, and rare archives to a wider audience.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design and layout for printed books

2. Create visually engaging covers, spreads, and supporting graphics

3. Collaborate with editors, writers, and photographers to bring concepts to life

4. Ensure brand consistency and high-quality design standards

5. Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Skill(s) required:

Adobe Illustrator

Adobe InDesign

Adobe Photoshop

CorelDRAW

Who can apply:

1. Are available for part-time (in-office) 

2. Can start immediately 

3. Are available for a duration of 6 months

4. Are from Kolkata

5. Have relevant skills and interests

Other requirements:

1. Any bachelor’s degree (preferred: graphic design, visual arts, fine arts, or related field)

2. Should be fluent in English and Bengali, speaking and writing

3. 1–2 years of proven experience in publication or editorial design

4. Proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator

5. Strong sense of layout, colour, and typography

6. Excellent attention to detail and creativity

7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team

8. A portfolio showcasing magazine or editorial design work
