As a 1st Class Boiler Operator, your role involves managing, operating, and maintaining high-pressure boilers and related equipment to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. Your responsibilities include: - Operating and maintaining high-pressure boilers, thermic fluid heaters, and utility equipment. - Monitoring boiler parameters, temperature, pressure, fuel consumption, and overall performance. - Ensuring safe start-up, shutdown, and emergency handling of boilers. - Conducting routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting operational issues. - Maintaining logbooks, operation records, and ensuring compliance with boiler regulations and safety standards. - Coordinating with maintenance teams for repairs and servicing. - Ensuring proper water treatment, blowdown, fuel handling, and efficiency optimization. - Complying with Factory Act, Boiler Act, and safety protocols. In terms of qualifications, you are required to have a 1st Class Boiler Attendant Certificate. Your strong technical knowledge of steam boilers, high-pressure operations, ability to identify faults, and adherence to safety protocols will be essential for success in this role. As a 2nd Class Boiler Operator, your responsibilities include operating and maintaining low/medium-pressure boilers and supporting senior operators to ensure uninterrupted boiler operations. Key responsibilities are: - Operating and monitoring low/medium pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment. - Assisting in daily boiler operations, water level checks, pressure monitoring, and routine maintenance. - Recording operational data in logbooks and maintaining proper documentation. - Ensuring safe operation of boilers following standard procedures. - Assisting in start-up, shutdown, and emergency handling under supervision. - Supporting maintenance teams in basic servicing and troubleshooting. - Following safety rules and complying with statutory boiler guidelines. To qualify for this role, you must hold a 2nd Class Boiler Attendant Certificate and have a basic knowledge of boiler operations, safety regulations, fuel handling, and routine maintenance. Your ability to follow instructions, maintain operational logs, and adhere to safety guidelines will be crucial.
