Job Description

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

Ensure delivery of Bogie Engineering outputs in compliance with Engineering QCD commitments.
Apply project-specific Bogie design development procedures effectively.
Possess strong knowledge of material specifications, weld types, structural standards (proof and fatigue), interfaces, weight management, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing tolerances.
Demonstrate knowledge of piping and electrical cabling installation and routing.
Proficient in CAD tools (Catia V5) and PDM systems (Enovia).
Undertake basic stress calculations as required.
Select and size mechanical fixings (fasteners) based on structural requirements.
Understand Bogie architecture, systems, and installation methods (preferred, not mandatory).
Be aware of Bogie cost drivers and optimize solutions to achieve cost-effective systems that meet functionality and performance requirements (preferred, not mandatory).

Knowledge & Experience:

Experience:
8+ years as a Mechanical Engineer with expertise in materials, manufacturing, and assembly processes.
Techniques / Expertise:

Experience in new product development.
Relevant experience (minimum 3 years) in the design of mechanical welded structures and assemblies.
Proficiency or practice in structural design and calculation software (appreciated: CATIA, ENOVIA, HYPERWORKS).
