BMW Group Bodyshop Manager

Description

Specific responsibilities include:

• Ensure the best possible service and implementation and professional execution of repair orders in the Bodyshop by thoroughly understanding the needs of customers
• Conduct a carry-over of work review to ensure throughput of cars in the Bodyshop is normal and it meets the specified TAT
• Analyze key figures relevant for the Bodyshop and derive the required measures to ensure the quality and adherence to deadlines of all repair work
• Continuously track and monitor the payments from insurance companies for the components included in the coverage
• Ensure adherence to work safety and accident prevention regulations and provisions for handling hazardous materials
• Ensure adherence to performance agreements with employees in terms of achieving targets and operating within the specified budget
• Provide support to the Bodyshop team to overcome challenges and motivate them to utilize appropriate workshop equipment and methods for the best possible work results
• Responsible for reviewing team performance as well as to distribute responsibilities through weekly schedules and meetings
• Coach and mentor the body shop team members to establish optimum workshop capacity utilization

Qualifications and Skills

• Diploma in mechanical or automobile/ automotive engineering; engineering degree is preferred
• Effective command over the regional and English language combined with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Expertise in insurance processes, claims and know how of insurance terminologies and jargons
• Technical awareness about vehicle servicing to address customer queries and grievances
• Efficient usage of resources combined with meeting quality and safety standards
• Eminent negotiation skills to preparestimates and process paperwork, insurance settlements
