Job Title: Staff Engineer Location: Bangalore About Us: At Johnson Controls, we are driving innovation in intelligent building management through our OpenBlue Platform. By leveraging cutting-edge technologies, we help optimize building systems like HVAC, chillers, and connected controls. We are looking for a Staff Engineer to join our team and focus on the backend development of the OpenBlue platform, building scalable, reliable, and high-performance services to support our edge computing and cloud-based systems What you will do Open Blue Edge group is playing a key part in realizing the promise of our digital transformation initiative Open Blue. This group focuses on technologies like edge computing, ML Model Edification and running ML Model at the edge with constrained resources in the most optimized way. How you will do it Good verbal and written communication in English Language with an ability to express and understand complex technical concepts Drive test plan reviews. Help correct existing coding standards and/or define improves one. Analyzing, troubleshooting, and providing code fixes for reported problems in test scripts and change requests. Participate in technical discussions; propose solutions and alternatives. Interact with Architects and other Sr members of the team to ensure that solution fits with overall architecture. Developing proof-of-concept prototypes; Providing work estimates Aid developers and support personnel as needed to determine system problems Should have can do attitude and initiative to start and complete the assigned activities. Any software that is acquired illegally or does not have a valid license shall not be deployed or used. Copying of third-party materials without an appropriate license is prohibited. Implement appropriate physical and technical safeguards to protect the confidentiality, integrity and availability of information assets. All employees, contractors and third parties shall be responsible to report all information security incidents, alerts, warnings and suspected vulnerabilities, in a timely manner, and share such information only with authorized personnel. What we look for Required Qualification MCA, B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics. Must have experience between 6-10 years in Protocol like BACnet, Modbus, OPCUA. Must have experience in configuring and validating protocols like Modbus, bacnet. Must be able to perform in an individual contributor role and must be willing to step-up in the role of hands-on technical lead as required. Experience of working with globally distributed teams. Preferred Good to have BMS commissioning experience at customer site Knowledge on Networking protocol.
