We are looking for a detail-oriented and skilled Blood Bank Technician to join our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for collecting, testing, labeling, and preparing blood and blood components, ensuring safe handling and compatibility for transfusion.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, label, and store blood units following standard operating procedures.
• Perform blood typing, crossmatching, and compatibility testing.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of blood and its components.
• Maintain accurate donor and patient records.
• Operate and maintain blood bank equipment and instruments.
• Monitor inventory levels and manage supply of blood units.
• Comply with safety standards, infection control protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in emergency blood transfusion situations and blood donation camps.
• Ensure timely reporting and documentation of test results.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT / BMLT) from a recognized institute.
• Specialized training or certification in Blood Bank Technology (Preferred).
• Registration with State Medical Laboratory Council (if applicable).
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a hospital blood bank or transfusion services.
